About
About the Artist
Melodia is a dedicated artist and mother, living and creating in the inspiring calm of the mountains above Boulder, Colorado. Since 2012, she has specialized in oil painting, cultivating her craft with depth and dedication. Under the mentorship of renowned visionary Professor Philip Rubinov Jacobson, Melodia refined her skills in the Old Masters New Visions seminars across Vienna, Austria, Ubud, Bali, and Boulder, Colorado (2013–2015). Her unique approach integrates the historic mische (or “mixed”) technique, layering egg tempera with transparent oil glazes to achieve a luminosity reminiscent of Dutch Renaissance masters. Embracing her own modern twist, Melodia’s use of color evokes both tradition and innovation.
Her portfolio showcases an impressive range that includes classical studies, botanical art, portraiture, and imaginative landscapes. This diversity reflects her commitment to evolving as an artist, breaking free from the constraints of a single genre, and offering viewers a constantly renewed perspective.
